The Digital Training Management System (DTMS) is a web based Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software product tied to a relational database and customized IAW FM
7-0 / 7-1. Optimized for use at Brigade and below, DTMS provides the ability to plan, resource and manage unit and individual training at all levels.

DTMS compiles collective and individual tasks, weapons qualifications, Army Physical Fitness Tests (APFT), AR 350-1 mandatory training and deployment tasks from "Enlistment to Retirement". It provides relevant training products through frequent updates of approved collective and individual tasks, Combined Arms Training Strategy (CATS), the Army Universal Task List (AUTL) and the Universal Joint Task List (UJTL).

*NOTE: A DA G-3 memo, dated 11 January of 2006, states that DTMS is the only automated system for managing training in Army units. Read this memo

Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS)

CATS are the Army's overarching strategy for focusing on near term unit training or on identifying future unit training strategies and requirements. The CATS is a flexible system that supports commanders in designing their training programs by providing them with a menu of training tasks, events, and resources to plan and manage training.

The primary means for accessing CATS is through the Digital Training Management System (DTMS). See section above for more information about DTMS.

Access CATS EXSUMs on the Army Training Network (ATN):

*NOTE: If you aren't able to find your units' CATS on ATN or DTMS, please contact us and we can provide the most recent Unit Task List (UTL) to assist you.

Training Support Packages (TSPs)

A Training Support Package (TSP) is a complete, stand-alone, exportable training package that integrates all training products and materials required to train one or more tasks.

TSPs are developed to support identified unit training requirements. Many TSPs developed by CTDD are created to provide an overview of changes in doctrine or provide instruction on topics the command has identified as items of special interest to Soldiers and Soldiers’ units in the field.
